Piston Type Solid Sawdust Log Making Machine Fire Wood Sawdust Stick Briquette Machine Extruder Maker Sawdust Briquette
Simple process for producing charcoal briquettes:
1) Step 1- Crushing: crush the raw materials into small pieces (around 5MM diameter) by wood crusher/Hammer Mill;
2) Step 2- Drying: dry the crushed materials by flash dryer to reduce the crushed material's moisture content below 18%;
3) Step 3- Briquetting: Put the dried materials into briquette machine to make solid briquettes.
Compared with screw type briquette press and hydraulic briquetting press, the mechanical stamping press has similar processes with other briquette machines, such as chipping, crushing, drying and packing. However, the mechanical stamping briquette press does have its unique briquetting form. The most remarkable feature of the stamping briquetting press goes quite stable performance.
Raw materials like straw or tree branches shall be crushed into granules with the size of about 20mm (some nut shell can be used directly without pulverization) and moisture content of about 10%-12%, and it will be pushed into briquetting press via a screw feeder. The plunger chip within the briquette press will squeeze and compact raw material together formed into briquette blocks and extruded out of the mould.

Mechanical Stamping Type Sawdust Briquetting Press Machine:
Briquetting is a process where some type of raw material is compressed under high pressure to form a round or square briquette that can be used for heating purpose.
If the raw material is wood waste or agro waste, the lignin content is liberated under this very high pressure thus binding the material into a briquette with high density.
During the compression of the material, temperatures rise sufficiently to make the raw material liberate various adhesives that will assist in keeping the particles together in the compressed shape. However, to make this process successful, the moisture content of the raw material must be in the range 12 - 18 %.
The high temperature also causes the moisture in the raw material to evaporate. At a very high moisture contents, steam pockets may build up during the process thus leading to expansion which will demolish the briquette.
As the optimum moisture content for briquetting purposes varies with the raw material, we know from experience that the recommended water content is from min. 12% to max. 18%. The ideal moisture content for most wood based material is 10-12%.
